Hi Amy,
I used to look at your blog all the time, but have gotten away from it. I just wanted to let you know how adorable your girls are! I love seeing all your pictures:)

I tried SCD last year without much success, but have since learned that I CAN'T do almonds! I also have trouble digesting meat. Anyway, I am looking into trying it again without nuts. I can do some pecans, but not too much. I think I will be okay with protein if I can eat fish and eggs. If you have any tips, I would love to hear from you:)

Oh, and congrats on expecting another little one:)

Hi Kimberly,

I checked out your blog today--lots of interesting stuff! It can be such a challenge to do a restricted diet, especially when the rest of your family is eating "normal" foods that you crave. With this pregnancy I'm having a lot of cravings and have been cheating often, which is starting to catch up with me. I am going back to the SCD 100% to get things straightened out. I have to say it's a slippery slope, as I'm sure you know. So, you are thinking about trying SCD again--are able to eat cashews? There are some really good "bread" recipes using ground cashews. Can you eat dairy? I find that when my gut is feeling yucky, I do need to cut back on the almond flour products for a time and I make sure I get lots of cheese and homemade yogurt, cooked fruits and veggies, eggs, and of course the chicken soup from the intro diet is great if you can eat chicken. If not, maybe a veggie stock soup with pureed veggies would be a good way to start. Or maybe even puree the chicken if that would make it easier to digest? Let me know how it goes if you try the diet and please ask any questions--I'll try to answer as best I can. Take care!
