Thirsty Flowers
Sophia fell in love with Grandma Beth's watering can while visiting a few weeks ago. Last week, I bought the Pumpkin a cute little green and red plastic watering can of her own. She loves it just as much as Grandma's, maybe even more--if that's possible, and she carries it around with her all over the house and brings it on every outing. Sophia loves to play with her watering can in the tub, and even when there isn't water in the can, she likes to pretend that she's sprinkling things, like our feet and our knees and our heads. An interesting tidbit about our beloved watering can--I believe it was quite instrumental in Sophia's newfound ability to walk all by herself wherever she wants, whenever she wants. She started out carrying her can in one hand and holding onto a parental finger while walking, and then, all of a sudden, she decided that the watering can, all by itself, was a wonderful walking buddy--no Mommy or Daddy fingers necessary. Yay for watering cans!

Who needs a blanky when you can have a nice hard, plastic, oddly shaped watering can to comfort you at night...
